This article is one of an enormous number of ‘hand-waver’ pieces that use jargon that few understand to predict a magical “AI” future for P&C Personal Lines Insurance. But the Devil is in the enormous number of technical, regulatory and data details. Which is what we’ve spent 8 years building a real time risk selection platform to handle. And aside from Progressive we haven’t seen any personal lines carriers able to deliver the type of consistently superior and agile results that demonstrate they are truly ready to leverage Strong AI. This isn’t ‘magic’. It’s hard work and it takes an enormous amount of effort and attention to detail. The question is how much time do you have? And do you start from scratch? Or get a head start?
